York West NPT continue to conduct house to house and CCTV enquiries as part of Op Respond - our robust response to residential burglaries.
Super cocooning is also conducted after every residential burglary. This is a way of updating the public of the burglary and giving security advice.
The team have conducted hi-vis patrols of areas targeted by thieves and have engaged and provided crime prevention advice to residents.

Youth Related Anti-Social Behaviour

The local team have launched Op Harmony, which is a problem solving plan to tackle youth-related ASB in the area, focusing on high-visibility patrols, engagement with businesses and residents, multi-agency partnerships and targeted intervention against repeat offenders. The team are currently focusing on a recent rise in ASB around the Acomb area, particularly around Front Street shops.

York West NPT have engaged with retail businesses targeted by thieves and have conducted hi-vis patrols of retail premises to deter and reduce shop thefts.
NPT are prioritising offences committed by the most prolific offenders, who commit the most retail crime and have made a number of arrests, contributing to a reduction in retail crime in the area.
