Road Safety

Issued: 14 May 2026

Status Update

PC Poole and PC Reynolds have been focusing heavily on Road Safety this month, particularly targeting the unlawful use of offroad bikes and e-bikes. This culminated in 6 arrests being made on 21st May for offences of dangerous driving relating to offroad bikes. These offences remain under investigation.

They have also taken part in Op Colossus, the force response to antisocial driving, undertaking speed checks and vehicle checkpoints, resulting in multiple vehicle seizures for being uninsured/unlicensed alongside an arrest on suspicion of being over the proscribed drugs limit.

PCSO Nevinson and Bickley continue to carry out high visibility patrol in hotspot areas in order to deter offending and to gather intelligence from the community that will assist in further enforcement action
