Status Update

Times have been given to the police. We aim to have a presence both visible and covert at these times and urge the public to continue to feed information in to 101 or webchat so wider departments have knowledge.

April 2026 Update -

Officers are patrolling the areas highlighted. Residents are reporting on- going issues, asb warning letters are being sent to registered keepers of vehicles involved.

Speeding and parking issues on Cherry Orchard Road Beauchamp Avenue

Status Update

Usually around school ending times. Police presence to issue tickets to those on zig zag lines, members of the public can also take pictures/videos and send to Operation Snap for consideration of prosecution of the driver.

April 2026 Update -

Speeding operations are being set up. Officers are patrolling locations to give tickets when necessary. Details of Operation Snap have been sent out to residents groups, schools and through WM Now messaging.

16/03/2026 – Birmingham City Council Parking enforcement patrolling area. Numerous Fixed Penalty Tickets issued.

19th March 2026 – Meeting with Councillor Kooner, Cherry Orchard Primary School and PC Manns. Joint patrols conducted and numerous fixed penalty tickets issued.
Neighbourhood team will continue patrolling when available to do so.

Begging and vagrancy on Soho Road, Oxhill Road and Rookery Road

Status Update

On-Foot patrols, issuing out tickets in breach of the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) issuing Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) to the worst offenders.

April 2026 Update -

Continuing to conduct daily high visibility patrols on Soho Road, Rookery Road and Oxhill Road.

Individuals begging have been given a Community Protection Warning for persistently begging. .

Officers are trying to identify individuals begging outside Tesco Express Oxhill Road so interventions can be put in place.
A Criminal Behaviour Order has been served on an a persistent shop lifter that frequents Tesco Oxhill Road.
Letter drop conducted on Rookery Road on 21/03/2026.
Joint patrols conducted with Councillor Shergill on Rookery Road / Greenhill Road alongside Birmingham City Council parking enforcement.
