We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with priorities that we will have for Swaffham for the next three months: Tackling rural crime and antisocial behaviour across Swaffham

Issued: 2 Feb 2026

Status Update

Across Swaffham vehicle antisocial behaviour has been a real focus so we have been increasing patrols – particularly around the Theatre Street car park. There is an active Public Spaces Protection Order across Breckland which we help to enforce than prevents vehicle ASB including car meets. We’ve also carried out patrols to prevent motorbike and 4x4 misuse in the rural villages.
Rural crime is a worry for many local people in the villages around the Swaffham SNT and we have seen an increase in farms and rural businesses being targeted recently. As well as organising a rural business forum we have been visiting farms and other vulnerable locations to share information, target harden and educate around crime prevention.
Visit to Valentine Barker Court in Swaffham to talk about anti-social behaviour and crime.
