Anti Social Behaviour in Barnoldswick. There has been an increase in ASB over the last few months. This centres around the Coop and the town centre but has spread to other areas. This has had a negative effect on residents and businesses in the area.

Barnoldswick has been added to the patrol plan for Neighbourhood officers to visit on late shifts. The local NHP staff are working with partner agencies to address the long term issues of ASB. The local NHP team have identified the youths responsible and are dealing with them accordingly. In addition to this, Barnoldswick has been added to Immediate Response briefing sheet for them to patrol as and when they are free

Status Update

We are tackling antisocial behaviour with high visibility foot patrols on evening shifts, and Officers continue to work hard to identify problem youths with both engagement and enforcement.

We have completed a Shoplifting operation, however the best practices from this operation will continue indefinitely

Several drugs warrants have been executed and engagement with schools and religious settings are ongoing..

Working with Lancashire Road Safety Partnerships, we have increased enforcement on certain local roads with ongoing issues.
