Local Priorities

Road Safety - tackle and target those causing a danger or ASB on our roads.

Issued: 28 Apr 2026

Status Update

Our communities continue to state that road safety as a concern within their communities and this issue will be targeted within our priority plan.
To address this NPPT officers will conduct speed awareness operations in partnership with the Roads Policing Unit and the Local Authority and highways agency.

We will also look to target anyone driving in an anti-social manner within our communities.

We will also look to patrol any identified areas such as car parks, the harbour or surrounding areas that are frequented by these road users

ASB

Issued: 28 Apr 2026

Status Update

Anti-social behaviour remains a priority concern for many of our communities and especially with the forthcoming summer months.

We will aim to target and reduce ASB within our communities through:

Planned operations alongside partner agencies in identified hot spot locations and look to take action where appropriate and intervene to resolve issues in these areas in an effort to reduce offences and deter those who are involved in ASB.

NPPT officers will take positive action with any persons identified or deemed to be involved with ASB by utilising our relevant powers available.

Drug dealing and drug related activity

Issued: 28 Apr 2026

Status Update

The Llanelli rural residents continue to highlight in their surveys that drug dealing, and drug related activity remain a priority main concern for them.

We will look to identify, address and target these offences through:

Actively gathering intelligence in relation to any drug activity through engagement days within the communities at "Hub days" in areas to maximise our community interactions and address needs and concerns.

Officers will publicise their attendance online through the Connects app and social media to conduct various "Meet the strret/team" days in identified areas of the local community where people can engage and discuss issues and pass information they feel relevant to target these offences.

Any intelligence gathered will be collated and analysed and considered for relevant action
