Officers have reviewed incident data to identify patterns, with CCTV and forensic opportunities explored where available. Engagement has taken place with affected residents to provide crime prevention advice, including securing vehicles and removing valuables. Beat surgeries are being held locally to allow members of the public to raise concerns directly with officers and discuss ongoing issues and preventative measures.
This activity will continue through intelligence‑led tasking, continued patrols and community engagement, alongside partnership working where appropriate, to reduce further offending and provide reassurance.

In response, targeted patrols have been conducted around affected retail premises, informed by incident data and peak offending times. Officers have engaged with store staff to gather intelligence, review CCTV where available and provide crime prevention advice. Repeat locations and nominals are being monitored through neighbourhood tasking. Beat surgeries are taking place within the area to allow members of the public and local businesses to raise concerns directly with officers and discuss ongoing issues.
In addition, officers are working closely with the Safer Streets team to identify and tackle the highest harm offenders. Robust action is being taken to disrupt offending, with Community Behaviour Orders (CBOs) being actively considered and pursued where appropriate to reduce repeat shoplifting and provide reassurance. This activity will continue through intelligence‑led patrols, partnership working and proportionate enforcement to reduce further offending.

In response, targeted high‑visibility patrols have been carried out in identified hotspot areas during peak times, with officers engaging directly with young people to challenge behaviour and set clear expectations. Intelligence has been reviewed to identify repeat locations and nominals, with incidents monitored through neighbourhood tasking.
A problem management plan is in place, and two main instigators have been identified as key perpetrators of the ASB. Neighbourhood officers are working closely with East Leicester officers to robustly manage these individuals and pursue appropriate enforcement options. Beat surgeries are taking place within the area to allow members of the public to raise concerns directly with officers and discuss ongoing issues. Partnership working continues with the local authority and youth services, with proportionate escalation through ASB powers where thresholds are met, to reduce offending and provide reassurance to the community.
