Status Update

1. Youth related antisocial behaviour in Chesterfield town centre has seen a significant reduction, thanks to targeted patrols, early intervention work, and strong partnership activity. Despite this improvement, the priority will remain to ensure progress continues. Officers will maintain daily hotspot patrols, work closely with security staff and enforcement partners, and continue early intervention measures such as warning letters and parental engagement. Targeted operations will be used during peak times, supported by intelligence led deployments. The ongoing focus aims to prevent issues from resurfacing and to keep the town centre a safe and welcoming place for residents, visitors, and businesses.
2. Officers will work with outreach teams, enforce PSPO conditions, and increase patrols at key times. Intelligence will be gathered from local businesses to support ongoing problem solving.
3. Retail crime remains a key challenge. Officers will conduct plain clothes operations, support ShopWatch, target repeat offenders, and build Criminal Behaviour Orders. Shop security reviews will help identify further prevention opportunities.
