Anti-Social Behaviour

Issued: 4 Apr 2026

Status Update

We have conducted 36 dedicated foot patrols throughout Wadebridge and Padstow town centres in the last month, and have managed to see many of you at the recent Obby Oss celebrations. We will be at many events throughout the summer, so feel free to stop and come have a chat with us. We take reports of ASB incredibly seriously in our community, and work collaboratively to overcome it. Please see the dedicated pages on our website for support.

Drugs

Issued: 4 Apr 2026

Status Update

The Bodmin Sector Neighbourhood Team are proactively looking to tackle issues around illicit drug use and the negative impacts that this has upon our communities. We work closely with partners to tackle the wider issues associated with drug use, and the harm that it can have upon our communities. We rely on information from the community to build a picture of the issue, so if you have information that could help us take more illegal drugs off the street please report it to us or anonymously to CrimeStoppers.

Shoplifting and Retail Crime

Issued: 4 Apr 2026

Status Update

The Bodmin Sector Neighbourhood Team are proactively tackling prolific offenders within our town centres. We have been actively patrolling both Wadebridge and Padstow town centres over the past month, engaging with Retail Workers, improving our relationships to ensure better information sharing and a more informed response to reports of shoplifting. Shoplifting offences are down 22.5% compared to this time last year. This is credit to the hard work we have done with shop workers to investigate reports of shoplifting. We continue to work closely with our retail partners to identify individuals who are causing disruption to this sector of our economy, and more locally our highstreets and shops.
