Local Priorities

Anti-social use of vehicles

Issued: 28 Feb 2026

Status Update

During the next three months the neighbourhood policing team will focus on dealing with speeding, problematic parking and congestion, all identified by the community as pressing concerns. We will concentrate on areas where unsafe driving, obstructive parking and traffic build-ups are creating hazards and disrupting daily life, using visible patrols, firm enforcement and information from residents to identify offenders and improve safety, traffic flow and confidence across the affected locations.

Anti-social use of vehicles

Issued: 30 Nov 2025

Status Update

Over the next three months, we’re prioritising action on anti-social vehicle use and speeding in our community. This includes tackling vehicles with loud exhausts, dangerous driving, and speeding that puts lives at risk. You’ll see more high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas, targeted checks on vehicles, and enforcement against those breaking the law. We’ll also work in partnership with local authorities and road safety teams to reduce harm and keep our streets safe for everyone.

Anti-social behaviour that is negatively affecting residents, businesses, and public spaces.

Issued: 28 Aug 2025

Status Update

We will be increasing our police presence in ASB hotspots such as parks and residential areas and responding swiftly to reports of nuisance behaviour, harassment, and public disturbances.

Rural crime.

Issued: 31 May 2025

Status Update

We are increasing our knowledge and capability of our local policing team by adding more specialist rural and wildlife officers. We will also be using the Rural Crime Team to follow-up on reports of serious acquisitive crime and investigate them positively.
