Road safety.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Officers have been taking action across the ward in response to concerns about speeding, unsafe overtaking, poor parking, and motorcycles being used antisocially on our rural roads. With narrow lanes, blind bends and a mix of road users, keeping our villages safe is something we all need to work together on.

Your local officer, has carried out regular high‑visibility mobile patrols. This includes patrols on marked police bicycle, which allows officers to access rural lanes and village areas that are harder to reach by vehicle.

This work has already helped stop nuisance motorcycles being ridden on rural paths, gather rider and vehicle details, submit intelligence, and deter further antisocial riding through proactive enforcement and engagement.

Please call 999 if someone is driving dangerously right now. For non‑urgent concerns, report online at www.kent.police.uk/report or use Live Chat on the Kent Police website. You can also use the online form to contact your local officer, PC 12757 Sophie Bramble.

If you see someone driving under the influence right now, please call 999 with the vehicle details and location. For non‑urgent information, report online at www.kent.police.uk/report, where Live Chat is also available. If you prefer to stay anonymous, you can contact Crimestoppers.
