Status Update

We remain dedicated to working closely with our partners and local businesses to tackle shoplifting. Our approach includes active collaboration with security staff and shop employees, targeted patrols by local officers, and offering practical advice and support to help reduce crime.
Our team reviews every shoplifting offence and uses a range of tactics to identify and arrest suspects. Addressing shoplifting not only helps reduce crime but also allows us to engage directly with individuals responsible for a significant number of incidents and calls for service. Ongoing work with Trading Standards to tackle business crime in Amblecote and Lye. NUMEROUS POSITIVE ARRESTS AND CHARGES HAVE BEEN MADE

Residents have raised concerns about vehicle-related nuisance occurring at multiple locations across Stourbridge.

Status Update

In response to concerns raised by local residents, officers are actively carrying out speed camera operations across Stourbridge. We’ve increased the number of checks to improve road safety and reduce speeding in key areas.
We’re also working closely with Dudley Council to explore additional measures, including CCTV and traffic calming measures. In addition, contact has been made with retail and industrial properties to gather vehicle registration details linked to offending behaviour, enabling us to issue further warning letters where appropriate. The safer Roads team are actively patrolling Stourbridge area to maximise enforcement opportunities. Operations to engage with problem road users are being planned. An E-scooter working group has been initiated to talking the use of E scooters in Stourbridge

Status Update

We have implemented a dedicated patrol plan to ensure officers are present in the area at key times.
Additionally, as part of a long-term solution, we are working with Dudley Council to address anti-social behaviour. Officers from the team attend local meetings and hold local surgeries to listen to local concerns.
Target Guardian patrols are dedicated to tackling drug dealing in the Lye area.
Joint patrols with Dudley council ASB team are being undertaken
