Local Priorities

Anti-social use of vehicles

Issued: 28 Feb 2026

Status Update

Over the next three months, the neighbourhood policing team will target illegal parking and the anti-social use of vehicles, which the community has clearly identified as a key concern. Officers will focus on hotspot areas where obstructive parking, inconsiderate driving and nuisance vehicle behaviour are affecting safety and quality of life, using high-visibility patrols, enforcement powers and community intelligence to identify offenders and reduce disruption.

Anti social use of vehicles

Issued: 30 Nov 2025

Status Update

Over the next three months, we’re prioritising action on illegal e-scooter use, nuisance vehicles, and parking issues in our community. This includes tackling vehicles causing obstruction and inconsiderate parking. You’ll see more high-visibility patrols in key locations, targeted checks on disruptive or illegally parked vehicles, and enforcement against those breaking the law. Our aim is to reduce anti-social behaviour, improve road safety, and keep our streets clear and safe for everyone.

Drug misuse and anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Issued: 28 Aug 2025

Status Update

Our focus over the next three months is to reduce the impact of drug misuse and associated anti-social behaviour on local communities by targeting offenders, supporting vulnerable individuals, and fostering safer public spaces. We will address the harmful effects of drug misuse and anti-social behaviour by identifying and disrupting drug-related activity, supporting those affected by substance abuse, and responding to behaviours that cause distress or harm in public areas. This includes visible policing, intelligence-led operations, and collaboration with health and community services.

Drug misuse and anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Issued: 31 May 2025

Status Update

Officers have been positively following up on local intelligence and in the last three weeks have discovered three locations where cannabis was being grown. These have been dismantled, the drug taken out of the supply chain and investigations to bring prosecutions continue.

Over the next three months, through the summer period, we will be increasing our presence around public open spaces and utilising powers of stop search where appropriate and working with partners to address those who misuse drugs in private settings. Officers will be focusing on local intelligence to target those who produce drugs such as cannabis.
