Nuisance and off-road bikes.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Officers are working with Gravesham Borough Council to develop a Public Space Protection Order for the area. If approved, this would give police additional powers to fine and deal with riders of nuisance and off‑road bikes. The proposal is currently in the public consultation stage.

We have also worked with the Kent Police Road Safety Unit to plan days of action targeting off‑road and nuisance bikes, using a mix of overt and covert policing tactics.

Drug and alcohol use.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Officers have worked with the Kent Police Licensing Team to visit licensed premises and check that alcohol is being sold in line with licence conditions. Joint operations have also taken place to target alcohol and drug use linked to the night‑time economy. In addition, officers have carried out a number of joint visits with Trading Standards to premises selling illegal cigarettes and other drug‑related items.
