Local Priorities

Antisocial behaviour around the King George V Playing Field / Allendale Road in Caister.

Issued: 30 Apr 2026

We work with the community and local partners, while also looking at our own data, to come up with priorities for Caister and the coastal villages for the next three months. These are currently Tackling anti-social behaviour - focusing on alcohol/drug concerns and vehicle misuse.

Issued: 24 Feb 2026

Status Update

We worked to strengthen community partnerships, including meeting with holiday park management, and Caister Parish Council to discuss ongoing antisocial behaviour, offering advice and identifying opportunities to increase safety.

We’ve undertaken high-visibility patrols via both foot and car across key locations including the holiday park and public toilets.

We delivered a road safety presentation to local infant school children, focusing on safe crossing of roads, and traffic awareness. We also spoke to Caister Cubs about internet safety – recognising online risks, safe communication, and how to seek help.

Joint working is ongoing with Great Yarmouth Borough Council housing officers to manage and reduce issues arising from several problem properties in Caister-On-Sea.

Targeted action is underway to reduce anti-social behaviour in Caister-On-Sea, with the inclusion of ASB letters sent to those causing issues in the community.

Actioned: 23 Apr 2026
