Issues with Anti-Social Behaviour and drug taking

Issued: 1 May 2026

Status Update

The Anti-Social Behaviour was an issue around Tesco Extra, Superbowl and REEL cinema. Plain clothes operations have taken place where youths have been dealt with robustly by being stopped searched and taken home and spoken to in front of their parents. The youths that were not recognised by officers have been identified through work with our school liaison officer.
ASB letters as well as escalations of those letters have been processed and youths have been dealt with. Positive action has been taken and the youths responsible are now on the ASB referral pathway.
The officer has patrolled area where there has been reported drug use and dealing and has taken some positive action.
