Violence against Women and Girls

Issued: 4 Dec 2025

Status Update

Patrols being conducted around areas of concern reported either directly to police or through StreetSafe. Typically, these will be locations such as alleyways that are used when commuting to and from home and are lacking in adequate lighting, CCTV etc. which especially as it gets darker sooner and for longer can cause concerns with regards to safety. So, we provide as much high visibility presence as we can in each location that has come to our attention. There have been recent sexual offences occurring in the alleyway near Maswell Park Health Centre, so this area has become a primary focus.

Drugs and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) – Alleyways

Issued: 4 Dec 2025

Status Update

The ward has multiple alleyways that are being used for the purpose of dealing Class-A and Class-B drugs. Suspects tend to loiter in these areas and use drugs as well. Intelligence gathering on suspects that are frequently stopped and searched from IIP checks.
Drugs and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) – Alleyways
 The three main alleyways that are hotspots for drugs and ASB go over the railway:
Maswell Park Crescent –> Ivy Road
Heath Road –> Stanley Road
Chatsworth Crescent –> Inwood Park
Chatsworth Crescent behind the properties on Elmer Gardens & Heldmann Close
 Other notable alleyways on the ward include:
Central Avenue behind the parade of shops
Gainsborough Gardens green
We’ve been conducting consistent and robust high visibility patrols in the areas affected by drugs related activity and anti-social behaviour. We arrested a male on Octavia Road recently for possession of class-A, we intervened in what appeared to be a drug deal, and the suspect also had in his possession a significant quantity of cash. Based on recent intel, the suspect is known for dealing drugs in the area. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances we could only charge with possession of class-A but we’re continuously monitoring activity in the area and conducting patrols there as well as surroundings.

Anti-Social Behaviour across the Ward

Issued: 4 Dec 2025

Status Update

We’ve been aware of the problem on Whitton Road where service users at a property which is a supported living accommodation for those suffering from debilitating mental health, have been anti-social towards members of public walking past on their commute to Hounslow overground station. This has mainly involved drinking alcohol in the street and aggressive begging. I’ve visited the property to speak with the service users as well as support workers on site and there are plans to have the offenders relocated to a different property not on Hounslow South. In terms of dealing with the anti-social behaviour, I’ve issued a warning notice to one of the offenders who was seen to be street drinking and begging passers-by for money, this is part of our early intervention scheme which can build up to a community protection notice if there are subsequent offences committed, however hopefully the relocation will take effect soon and this will no longer be an issue for the local residents in that area.
