Crime in Newhaven South, Lewes

•Police led operations, targeting known areas of drug use and drug dealing, as well as partnership work around known addresses causing drug harm in your area.

•Continued work alongside partners, and local authorities to address community concerns, including partnership work with housing and British Transport Police to target those using the train network to conduct crime.

•Patrols of known areas of drug use, working alongside partners including Lewes District Council to address concerns of discarded drug paraphernalia reported by residents.

•Warrants and drug related arrests made throughout the last few months, details published to Sussex Police website.

•Extra patrols, educational and enforcement activities across the district focused on targeting excess speed, distracted driving, as well as drink/drug driving along the coast.

•A number of police and partner deployments across the town in the last few months to tackle ASB driving, including excess speeding, these have led to a number of positive stops and vehicle seizures, details of which have been added to our Sussex Police website, and posted to our Lewes Police Facebook page.

•Communities across Peacehaven also continue to raise concerns around dangerous driving associated with ASB driving, including the use of EScooters; recently a day action saw number of these seized, details published to our Lewes Police Facebook page.
