Residents are concerned about Anti-social behaviour and drug issues at an address in Handley Drive

Issued: 1 May 2026

Status Update

A partial closure at the address was agreed in court for the removal of one resident believed to be causing the issues on the estate. That resident has now been removed from the property and was not allowed to return to the address for 3 months. Due to this condition being broken, the courts have now agreed to extend the closure for another three months and our findings have been passed onto the local housing authority to review. with the local MP, she has agreed to hold a meeting with the CEO of Torus about requesting they invest in the area with a view of permanent solutions to the issues raised.
Torus have agreed to take ownership of the abandoned vehicles. So far 8 have been removed and they have increased their patrols of the area to try and establish who is doing this.
