Local Priorities

Vehicle Crime

Issued: 14 Apr 2026

Status Update

We’ve seen a recent rise in vehicle thefts and break-ins across the ward. We understand the frustration and concern this causes, and we are refocusing our efforts to address it.

Our team is working to tackle this through a practical, multi-agency approach:
Targeted Patrols: We are using crime data and CCTV to ensure our officers are in the right places at the right times to deter offenders.

Working Together: We are collaborating with the local authority and housing providers to look at environmental improvements, such as better lighting and clearer signage in parking hotspots.

Prevention First: We’ll be holding regular drop-in sessions and sharing advice on social media to help you protect your property.

Our goal is to disrupt those responsible and keep your property safe, but we can’t do it alone. Your reports and intelligence are what allow us to build a clearer picture of who is operating in our area.

How you can support us:
Please report any suspicious activity via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

We’ll be out and about conducting community door knocks and patrols—please feel free to stop us for a chat if you have concerns or information to share.

Burglaries

Issued: 14 Apr 2026

Status Update

A recent increase in residential burglaries has made this a top priority for our ward. We understand the impact this has on your sense of safety at home, and we are refocusing our team’s efforts on prevention and disruption.

We are taking a practical approach to tackle this issue:

Data-Led Patrols: We are using recent crime reports and CCTV to increase our presence in hotspot streets at peak times. Following any new incident, you will see us conducting reassurance patrols to gather information and support those affected.

Victim Support & Prevention: For those most at risk, we are utilising ward funding to provide security measures like door and window alarms. We’ll also be sharing tailored advice via My Community Alert to help you stay informed.

Intelligence Sharing: We are working closely with neighbouring wards and local businesses to identify patterns, track stolen goods, and disrupt known offenders.

Your awareness is our most effective tool in preventing these crimes. Please look out for your neighbours and report any suspicious activity, such as unknown vehicles or individuals attempting to access gardens.

Get involved:
Report concerns via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Anti-social motorbike use

Issued: 14 Apr 2026

Status Update

Anti-social motorbike use and the crimes linked to it have been a persistent issue on Park. We know the noise and danger this causes, and tackling it remains a core focus for our neighbourhood team.

We are addressing this through Operation Yellowfin, using a coordinated approach to disrupt those responsible:

Days of Action: We are running dedicated high-visibility operations across the ward to target illegal riders and identify where these bikes are being stored.

High-Tech Equipment: Working with Humberside Fire and Rescue, we use drone technology to gather the evidence needed to prosecute offenders and seize bikes safely.

Targeted Results: Your reports help us map out hotspots and frequent routes, allowing us to put our resources exactly where they are needed most.

While we are seeing results, your local knowledge is vital. Knowing where these bikes are kept or who is riding them allows us to take direct action and bring those causing the most harm to justice.

How you can help:
If you have information about illegal bikes in your area, please report it via 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
