Local Priorities

The Mendip Policing Sector has received several reports of "dwelling burglaries" recently, where some properties have been targeted in some of our towns and villages and items of jewellery stolen.

We take these reports extremely seriously and want to re-assure the local community that we are actively investigating these reports in the hope that we can identify suspects and arrest them and put them before the courts.

We ask the local community to remain vigilant, make sure properties and vehicles are secured and any suspicious activity to be reported to police immediately when it happens, either on 999, if crime is in progress or 101 if a non emergency.
