Increase in report of theft from motor vehicle offences in the Broughton area

Status Update

We have received an increase in reporting of theft from motor vehicle offences particularly in the Broughton estate. An arrest has been made and a male has been charged with offences and bailed to attend Court, he has also been released on bail for other linked offences for further enquiries to take place. We continue to urge residents to keep their vehicles clear of valuables and ensure that their vehicles are left locked and secure. We are conducting regular patrols and working with local partners to deliver the Spring Crime Prevention Roadshows across Milton Keynes. These roadshows will be advertised on social media and other TVP sites.

Increasing reports of ASB in the Kingston Retail Park area particularly around the Library

Status Update

NHPT are aware of an increase in ASB being reported from businesses within the retail park. The main demographic are school age children that are targeting stores and the library. We are working with MK Council for banning notices to be issued to those involved. We are also working with local schools to identify those children involved and would ask parents to be vigilant with where their children are and their behaviour.

Increase in reports of theft of pedal cycles in Monkston Park and Broughton

Status Update

The Neighbourhood Team have received an increase in reports of theft of pedal cycles in residential areas. We urge residents to ensure that their bikes are kept locked and secure. Please ensure that you record any serial numbers for your property in case of theft. In addition the Neighbourhood Team are working with the MK Safety Partnership to deliver crime prevention roadshows in the area throughout Spring. Officers will continue to complete targeted patrols, please report any suspicious activity.
