The priorities for May to August are as follows:
• Road safety in Royston Urban and Rural. An increased focus on speeding, mobile phone usage, and seatbelts is to be launched. Target locations identified in the urban area are Baldock Road and Newmarket Road, while in the rural area we will focus on Newnham Way in Ashwell.
• Fly-tipping in Royston Rural. Continued work to address this issue with the support of landowners and businesses will be further enhanced to help improve timely reporting of incidents, increase intelligence and prevent offences as well as help target offenders.

The issue of the unlawful use of E-scooters was identified as a concern for Royston residents.
*The use of E-scooters on public land is not allowed, and can present a danger to pedestrians and other road users alike. The Neighbourhood Policing Team undertook activities to address this issue including education and enforcement of relevant legislation.
Fly-tipping in Royston Rural
*Through increased patrols and close partnership working with landowners, farmers and businesses, the Neighbourhood Policing Team focused on reducing fly-tipping. This forms part of a wider, ongoing effort to reduce rural crime and see further crime prevention initiatives between police and local communities.
