Local Priorities

We work with the community and local partners, while also looking at our own data, to come up with priorities for Fakenham for the next three months. These are currently:
Tackling antisocial behaviour, drug misuse and retail theft.

Status Update

We have made two arrests related to possession of drugs, and carried out two stop searches following suspicions of drug activity.

We’ve been working with shops to identify offenders after suspected shoplifting activity near Queens Road.

Four warning letters have been issued to individuals in relation to ongoing vehicle-related antisocial behaviour.

Foot patrols around Church Lane, town centre, marketplace, Mill Court, Lancaster Close, and Red Lion Court.

One arrest made in Church Yard on suspicion of possession of class A drugs.

One arrest made in Oak Street on suspicion of possession of class B drugs.

Six searches of individuals for suspected drugs.

Three arrests made on suspicion of theft from shops.

A Community Resolution issued for possession of cannabis.

A visit to Fakenham Academy in relation to online sexual crime.

A man arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage and other offences.

A man arrested on suspicion of breaching a Domestic Violence Protection Order.

Foot patrols around Church Lane, Millennium Park, Red Lion Court, Norwich Street, the town centre, and the marketplace.

Educational visits to Fakenham Academy to speak to young people.

A man arrested for driving disqualified and without insurance.

A man arrested for Possession with Intent to Supply Class A drugs inside a pub. He was recalled to prison.

Continued work in building a partial closure order case and patrols in around the town centre following reports of ASB and drug use. Lots of shops were engaged with and encouraged to report any issues.

An ASB survey was conducted in Station Close and numerous residents were spoken to about the area, crime prevention and reassurance given.
