Anti-social Behaviour

Issued: 30 Apr 2026

Status Update

We have issued 12 Yellow cards for ASB across our districting ranging from youths causing annoyance to adults causing neighbour issues. We have worked with our housing association partners to issue 3 ABC Behavioural Contracts to their tenants who have been causing distress to persons in the communities of Tywyn and Aberdyfi. ABC contracts have also been utilised in other areas to manage antisocial behaviour. Joint patrols with various partner agencies including Housing and Gwynedd Street enforcement officers have taken place. Two adults have been issued with Community Protection Notice Warnings for continually trying to exploit a vulnerable adult in the Blaenau Ffestiniog area. As a result, there have not been other ASB incidents reported at the location which has restored trust and confidence for the community. There has also been targeted patrols in the Glan Gors area of Harlech and Cricket field, Bala following reports of ASB to the local PCSOs. Youths have been causing antisocial behaviour via the means of door knocking/kicking in various areas, and this is being targeted via a problem-solving plan for which questionnaires and house visits in the relevant areas have been conducted to understand the issue, alongside additional evening patrols. The frequency of calls has reduced, and the work is still in progress to tackle completely.

Drugs

Issued: 30 Apr 2026

Status Update

We have conducted misuse of drugs warrants across the communities, targeting identified suspects for drugs supply at addresses in Barmouth, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Pwllheli and Penrhyndeudraeth. These resulted in a large quantity of drugs being seized as well as cash, mobile phones, and drug related equipment. We have had several action days with Neighbourhood officers out looking to target known individuals in the Barmouth, Blaenau and Pwllheli areas. This involved numerous persons being stop searched. As a result of this proactivity, we now have several persons in the district released under investigation for drugs supply offences as well as several persons being prosecuted for drugs possession offences. Work is ongoing within our teams and with other agencies to develop our intelligence and information surrounding drugs within our communities. We have had meetings with licensees and our Key Individual Networks in Bala and Barmouth to discuss how we continue to tackle drug supply.
