Local Priorities

Antisocial behaviour / vehicle nuisance

Issued: 26 May 2026

Status Update

We continue to focus our dedicated ASB patrols in key areas such as Farndale Square, Westfield Court and Park Court, and in the area around Ennis Square. We have been liaising with Beyond Housing regarding anti-social behaviour at Farndale Square and the block of flats. Crime prevention methods have also been discussed. Several youths have been identified as causing issues and AS13 forms have been submitted along with speaking to parents. We have been conducting visits to the local youth club and drop-ins at Dormanstown Primary Academy in order to engage with children and deter nuisance behaviour going forward.
We encourage residents to report off road bike and e-bike nuisance in the ward and particularly any intelligence relating to storage of these bikes and details of persistent riders/offenders. We can then develop any intelligence and target those involved – through specialist operations and use of our drone units.

Drug dealing and misuse

Issued: 26 May 2026

Status Update

We continue to take a proactive approach to drug dealing and associated criminal behaviour in the area, through warrants, stop searches and high visibility mobile/foot patrols in key areas. Your Neighbourhood Team Officers welcome local intelligence from residents to tackle the problem. Information can be reported via 101 or online via the COPA App. CrimeStoppers is still a great way to let us know about any issues with 100% anonymity – where the charity feeds this anonymous information into us.
Cleveland Connected (Neighbourhood Alerts) and our local social media pages continue to be used in order to pass out information relating to NPT and what we are doing and also to make appeals. Cleveland Connected sign-ups are increasing, if you are not currently signed up – Cleveland Police website gives details and guidance on how to sign up and the benefits of the service.

Antisocial behaviour (ASB)

Issued: 29 Jan 2026

Status Update

Although recent months have seen a reduction in ASB in general, the NPT continues to patrol the ward in order to prevent and deter incidents. Concentrating on key areas such as Ennis Square, Westfield Court, Britannia Place and Farndale Square, we are working with partners such as Beyond Housing and Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council ASB Team to tackle those responsible for ASB and organised criminality, including house closures where appropriate

Drug dealing and misuse

Issued: 29 Jan 2026

Status Update

Your neighbourhood officers continue to take a proactive approach to drug related issues within the community through warrants, stop searches and high visibility patrols to reduce drug related and violent crime.

Off-road bike nuisance

Issued: 29 Jan 2026

Status Update

We continue with increased mobile and foot patrols in the area and with gathering intelligence regarding off-road bike nuisance riders. We also run intelligence-leg events using our drone units and the mobile police station has been and will continue to be used in multiple areas of the ward to provide a reassuring presence and so that residents can speak to our officers regarding any issues, or to pass on information.
We continue with increased mobile patrols and increased foot patrols in key areas and use our mobile police station in areas such as Ennis Square, Locke Parke and The Green.
We send messages via Cleveland Connected (Neighbourhood Alert) and social media to let residents know where members of the NPT will be, including pop-ins at local community events.
