Anti Social Behaviour - Teesville
Issued: 26 May 2026
Status Update
Teesville: As a team Eston Neighbourhoods work with businesses, members of the community and partner agencies to tackle/reduce ASB in the area. We do this my conducting hi visibility patrols and addressing issues when they first arise to prevent escalation. Working with schools is a brilliant when helping identify youths in the area causing ASB, helping us go straight to the source to speak to the ones instigating the ASB and their parents. In the warmer months as the grass begins to dry out after being cut youths in the area often focus on whale Hill tip to hang out setting fires and causing a nuisance in the area for neighbours. Regular patrols during school leave times and on whale hill tip should help reduce ASB.
Issuing AS13 warnings to individuals identified and doing referrals to the fire department for the fire safety courses or early intervention. All of this is made possible by community engagements and engaging with others in the community.

Criminal use of bikes - Teesville
Issued: 26 May 2026
Status Update
Teesville
The Eston neighbourhood's teams continuously act against illegal off road bike usage all over the Greater Eston area. There is a new off road bike plan in regards to the OP ENDURANCE, the aim is to carry out more regular OP ENDURANCES’ to target the locations of where the bikes are along with the more commonly used routes. Many bikes are sighted causing issues in the area going through the Teesville ward, using Hazlewood drive as a cut through to the trunk road and Skippers lane industrial park. Regular OP Endurances will continue to help us seize the bikes and clear them off the road as they are a safety risk and often used to help traffic drugs.

Off road bikes (ORB)
Issued: 21 Feb 2026
Status Update
The local teams have and will continue to focus on prevention, identification and the arrest of persons using off road bikes (ORB.) We are using the tools available to us to carry out our mission to disrupt the minority of individuals who choose to continue to disrupt the community. The Greater Eston Inspector continues to hold and chair partnership meetings specifically about the use of ORBs being used in the community. We rely on information from the public to inform us where this is occurring so we can act on that information. I urge the community to provide information; it will be held in confidence and never shared outside the police environment.
We are running specific operations and have successfully removed quads and bikes from various locations due to support from the community. We have used the intelligence you provide to help us identify individuals and locations where we have been able to arrest several offenders with stolen motorcycles and remove them from your roads. We are working closely with partners to achieve evidence to support civil orders such as criminal behaviour orders to use against those who use off road bikes. The bikes seized from individuals have been destroyed meaning that they are unable to continue to use them in the community. We will continue to monitor and remove any further bikes they make attempts to replace them with. We have dedicated and monitored patrol routes during our operations. Our focus will continue to build our intelligence identifying locations to target unlawful off road bike owners. We are looking at new tactics soon to tackle off road motor bikes so we can hopefully have more success moving forward as technology improves.

Antisocial behaviour (ASB)
Issued: 21 Feb 2026
Status Update
The Neighbourhood Police Teams continue to tackle antisocial behaviour, particularly around business retail outlets. These areas still have dedicated additional patrol plans to disrupt those who cause our community to feel harassed or unsafe in their local area. We are working with our partners to ensure that the local minority of people who are causing this ASB are held to account with the local council Streetz team. As a result, we have successfully issued a number of community protection warning and notices to individuals in partnership with Redcar and Cleveland Council. We also continue to target those who are involved in the receipt of drugs through using the mail system. These drugs are regularly intercepted, the individuals who have received packages are currently in danger of losing their home through residential closures (working jointly with the council). If you are dealing drugs or involved in the supply, you are likely to lose your home in the process. We have seen a huge reduction of late which demonstrates the tactic is working. This means that there will be disruptions in the drug supply to the area to make the community a better place for residents.
During the last 3 months, the ward PCSO’s continue to issue AS13 warnings for antisocial behaviour and, with the ASB officer from the council, to deliver antisocial behaviour agreements to monitor and hold the individuals accountable. We will continue to work with partners to highlight the consequences of their actions and the impact this could have on their residential status within the community to deter their mission of causing disruption.
This has only been achievable through your information as a community, and we will be continuing to patrol these areas and act on your intelligence with regards to where the ASB/drug dealing is occurring. We have targeted this around specific individuals and we have applied for (and are likely to achieve) a further criminal behaviour order for an individual who is causing antisocial behaviour within the community.
