Officers continue to speak with people using e‑scooters to make sure they understand the law. Privately owned e‑scooters must not be used on public roads, pavements or other public places. Where offences are identified, officers will take appropriate action. This can include seizing e‑scooters and reporting riders for prosecution where necessary.

Officers also check e‑bikes. If an e‑bike has been modified beyond legal limits, the rider may be prosecuted. These measures help keep riders and the wider community safe.
