Crime in Henley-on-Thames, South Oxfordshire

The team have arranged a series of engagement and Have Your Say events in Mill Meadows and the Skate Park in order to combat the small numbers of ASB incidents that have been reported. As the summer months approach we are aware that these are hotspots and we will respond with an increased presence. We are already preparing for the Regatta which will see another increase in police presence.

There is a spate of criminal damage offences at Starbucks also being investigated by the team at present.

We are aware of a spike in youths gathering in Mill Meadows and will be working with partners on a plan to ensure their behaviour is lawful and not anti-social

The team have spent the past 2 days doing incredible work resulting in prosecution of one of Henley's most prolific offenders. He was sentenced to an 8 month custodial sentence today for offences at Boots and Tesco. 8 charges were brought and one of his associates was charged with 3 offences.

We will now work on a Criminal Behaviour Order to ensure he does not return to his offending ways on release from prison.

Following the relentless pursuit of justice against one of Henley's most prolific vehicle crime offenders we are pleased to report a huge drop in the number of offences locally.
