Scrambler bikes and e-bikes causing anti-social behaviour over the summer months.

Issued: 27 Jun 2025

Status Update

Local policing officers have been working cross boarder with Lancashire Constabulary to combat cross boarder issues of off-road bike ASB. Investigations highlighted people travelling from other areas causing issues. Multi agency meeting held and activities to combat the issue under the operation name of Op Gears commenced. Officers have deployed on Police Quad and e-bikes, further deployments by specialised Roads Policing Unit on scrambler bikes also policed the area. This acted as a visible deterrent.
