Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Officers have increased targeted patrols in areas repeatedly linked to nuisance antisocial behaviour, including residential streets and open spaces. This increased visibility helps deter low‑level disorder, reassure residents, and allows officers to step in quickly when issues arise.

Engagement with local residents has continued throughout this work, helping officers identify specific households linked to repeated complaints. Information gathered is being used to support problem‑solving activity, work with housing providers, and guide further visits or enforcement where appropriate.

E-scooters/E-bikes.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

The local beat officer has conducted a visit to a youth known to be involved in the antisocial use of an e‑scooter, providing education around legal requirements, safe use, and clear warnings regarding potential enforcement should the behaviour continue. The matter has been formally raised at the District Contextual Safeguarding Meeting, ensuring partner agencies are sighted and able to contribute relevant intelligence. Further work remains ongoing to identify additional individuals linked to recent reports, with CCTV opportunities and community information being developed to support this. A dedicated day of action is also planned, focusing specifically on e‑scooter and e‑bike misuse, combining high‑visibility patrols, engagement, and targeted enforcement to address increasing community concern and deter continued offending.
