Status Update

Residents previously asked us to focus on the following issues:

Anti-social behaviour in Welwyn Garden City town centre
• We have been working hard to identify those contributing to ASB in the area and we are working closely with partner agencies and schools.
• Work has been completed with the full support of the managing agent for the now vacant Lloyd’s Bank to ensure the premises is properly secured. This will prevent those who would seek to trespass from gaining entry and causing damage.
• We’ve also installed gates in the alleyway that run alongside McDonalds to the bus station. This should prevent the alleyway from being used for criminality and ASB.

Drug issues in Peartree
• Officers have been carrying out patrols and developing intelligence so that appropriate action can be taken. This could be in the form or arrests or warrants.
• Residents have been encouraged to continue reporting concerns via 101 or online at https://www.herts.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us-beta/contact-us/
