Road Safety and Road Traffic Offences

Status Update

Here’s an update on our work to tackle road safety and road traffic offences, which was a local priority from April to September 2025:
• A number of vehicles were seized for having no road tax following patrols in Daventry
• Words of advice and warnings were given to drivers in Crick where vehicles were causing unnecessary obstruction to footpaths
• A fixed penalty notice was issued to a driver for driving while using a mobile phone
• Speed enforcement patrols were carried out in various locations across the area

Status Update

Here’s an update on our work to tackle vehicle crime and burglary, which were local priorities from April to September 2025:
• Officers conducted house to house patrols in areas where crime had been reported, offering reassurance and crime prevention advice.
• One person was arrested following the theft of a vehicle, which was recovered by police.
• Officers completed reassurance patrols and house to house visits to provide crime prevention advice following burglaries in Brixworth, Moulton and Byfield.
