Local Priorities

Rural Crime - Burglary and Hare Coursing

Issued: 10 Mar 2026

Status Update

Rural crime remains a key focus, particularly around burglaries and hare coursing.

We’re increasing high-visibility patrols across rural lanes and isolated areas, targeting known hotspots and responding to intelligence from farmers, landowners and residents.

We encourage everyone to report suspicious vehicles and activity quickly. Prompt information helps us disrupt offenders and take action.

Actioned: 10 Mar 2026

Road Safety

Issued: 10 Mar 2026

Status Update

Keeping people safe on the roads is a priority for the team. We are carrying out speed checks and targeted patrols in areas where communities have raised concerns, and focusing on the “Fatal Five” causes of serious collisions.

We’ll continue to work with partners and local communities to improve road safety and reduce dangerous driving.
