Shoplifting in Datchet and Wraysbury: We will work with village retailers to reduce shoplifting in Datchet and Wraysbury, increasing patrols and using intelligence led activity to identify offenders. Where evidence supports it, suspects will be arrested and prosecuted to protect local businesses and deter repeat offenders.

30/04/26: Officers have attended a local store suffering from repeat thefts. The store are working to improve the CCTV system and implement a security guard. Patrols and HYS stands continue in the area.

Wildlife and Rural Crime in Windsor East

Status Update

Wildlife and Rural Crime: We will focus on preventing unlawful hunting, poaching and harm to animals across the Windsor East area. Officers will conduct rural patrols, gather community intelligence and work closely with landowners. Offenders will be investigated thoroughly and prosecuted where appropriate.

Lead: PC FRANKLIN

Operation LAKESHOT: RBWM Neighbourhood Policing Team has commenced anti‑wildlife crime patrols as part of Operation LAKESHOT. Dedicated operation days were conducted on 10 and 24 April, in conjunction with officers from the Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Team.
Officers carried out targeted patrols in areas linked to previous offending and known nesting bird sites across Windsor, Datchet, Horton and Wraysbury.
As a result of these patrols:

One male was arrested after being identified as wanted for failing to appear at court.
Three males were dealt with for drugs offences.
One vehicle was seized for having no insurance.
One driver was reported for failing to wear a seatbelt.

Patrols under Operation LAKESHOT will continue as part of ongoing efforts to deter wildlife crime and protect rural and green spaces across the borough.

The RBWM PSPO will soon go live.

Road Safety and Traffic Offences on the Horton Road and Surrounding Areas

Status Update

Road Safety and Traffic Offences: We will target speeding, anti social vehicle use and traffic sign violations on Horton Road, Datchet Road and Stanwell Road through regular patrols, enforcement activity and the use of partnership resources. Offenders identified will be dealt with robustly, including through fixed penalties, vehicle seizures and prosecutions where appropriate.

Lead: A/PS Jenkins

16/04/26: Road Check, Horton Road, Datchet: Four drivers were reported for using handheld mobile phones while driving. One driver received education for not being in full control of a vehicle. One passenger was issued with a fixed penalty notice for failing to wear a seatbelt. One vehicle was stopped for a window‑tint road safety check and was found to be compliant. One e‑scooter was seized. The rider of an off‑road electric scrambler was visited at home and issued with a Section 59 anti‑social behaviour vehicle warning.

24/04/26: One vehicle was seized for having no insurance and the driver reported during a wildlife crime operation (Wraysbury).

06/05/26: Speed enforcement operation carried out on Southlea Road, Horton Road and Staines Road. 1x driver reported for excess speed. Published on Facebook.
