Drug activity and issues with E-Bikes and E-Scooters that are being used on the Recreation Ground, Recreation Road Burghfield Common.

Status Update

This priority will continue into our new set of priorities as it’s a concern raised by the community. A male was stopped and searched on Recreation Road however nothing of concern was located on him.
The team has now seized 18 E-Scooters across the Policing area for the neighbourhood.

Retail crime Co-Op Victoria Road Mortimer. Repeated incidents of shoplifting from the Co-Op Mortimer.

Status Update

Update: A male was arrested and charged on 26/04/2026 for 15 thefts from the CO-OP Mortimer and 1 Public Order Offence against staff at the same location.
He is due in court in June 2026 for sentencing.

Anti-Social behaviour in Bunces Lane, Burghfield Common, and surrounding areas. There have been reports of people firing catapults at properties in the area, causing damage.

There has been a reduction in relation to reports of catapult use in the Burghfield Common area. This will remain our priority over the coming month as the warmer weather starts.
There is a ongoing investigation into two young persons located with a catapult in the Burghfield Common area.
