Local Priorities

Anti-Social Behaviour in and around Braunstone Park continues as a priority concern from the community. Over the spring period, the team will continue to concentrate on this location.

Issued: 1 Apr 2026

Status Update

Anti‑social behaviour in and around Braunstone Park remains a priority concern raised by the community.

Throughout April, the beat team has continued to focus activity in this location as part of ongoing spring and summer policing plans, aiming to provide reassurance, deter ASB and positively engage with park users.

Since the last update, officers have carried out regular high‑visibility patrols in and around Braunstone Park, maintaining a visible presence to discourage anti‑social behaviour and address concerns as they arise.

The team has also held a number of beat surgeries, providing residents with opportunities to speak directly with officers, raise concerns and share information about issues affecting the area.

In addition, the team delivered two bike registration events within the park, promoting crime prevention, supporting cycle safety and encouraging positive engagement with the community. These events have helped to improve safeguarding, reduce theft opportunities and strengthen relationships with local residents and park users.

The beat team will continue to concentrate on Braunstone Park over the spring period, using a combination of patrols, engagement and targeted activity to reduce ASB and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for the community.

From Community Surveys and Feedback on Neighbourhood Link, road safety has been highlighted to be a local concern. We will continue to concentrate on speeding concerns and anti social behaviour caused by e bikes, e scooters and off road motorbikes.

Issued: 1 Apr 2026

Status Update

Road safety remains a key priority for the Braunstone and Rowley Fields beat team following continued community surveys and feedback received via Neighbourhood Link.

Concerns around speeding and anti‑social behaviour linked to e‑bikes, e‑scooters and off‑road motorbikes continue to be a particular focus.

Since the last update, the team has carried out a further targeted road safety operation during April. This resulted in the seizure of three illegal e‑scooters and one illegal e‑bike, removing vehicles that were being used unlawfully and posed a risk to pedestrians and other road users.

These enforcement activities form part of our ongoing efforts to address nuisance riding and improve safety within residential areas.

The beat team will continue to conduct both high‑visibility and targeted operations to tackle dangerous riding, speeding and vehicle‑related anti‑social behaviour.

We encourage residents to keep reporting concerns, as community information plays a vital role in directing patrols and enforcement.

Our focus will remain on improving road safety and maintaining reassurance for those who live, work and travel within the ward.

From the Surveys on Neighbourhood Link you have told us that drug dealing and usage at locations across the Braunstone and Rowley Fields area is a concern.

Issued: 1 Apr 2026

Status Update

Drug dealing and drug use across the Braunstone and Rowley Fields area remains a key priority following continued feedback from residents via Neighbourhood Link surveys. Since the last update, the beat team has maintained a proactive approach, focusing on disruption, intelligence gathering and visible patrols in identified hotspot locations.
During April, the team has successfully obtained a further drugs warrant, which will be executed shortly as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt local drug supply and associated criminality.
Officers have also been carrying out plain‑clothes patrols to identify those involved in drug dealing and to gather high‑quality intelligence that supports enforcement activity.

In addition, vital information continues to be obtained through regular community engagements, allowing the team to better understand local concerns and emerging issues.

We continue to encourage the community to report suspicious activity, including suspected drug dealing, unusual behaviour around properties or frequent short‑term visitors. Information from residents remains crucial in helping us take effective action.

The beat team will sustain this focus throughout the coming month to reduce harm, disrupt drug‑related crime and improve safety and confidence within the community.
