We are receiving reports of youth ASB within the New Harraby area, particularly in the Central Avenue area. We will be proactively patrolling the area and working with partner agencies where appropriate.

Illegal use of off-road and electric motorbikes

Status Update

We are working with our partner agencies to develop intelligence around the offenders and the hot-spot locations for this type of activity. In addition we are working with our Roads Policing Team to ensure that offenders are targeted and prosecuted and any vehicles are seized appropriately. We also utilising new technology such as the use of drones to assist us in targeting offenders and key locations.

You said road safety across the area was an issue with a number of roads highlighted as posing a road safety issue due to speeding vehicles.

Status Update

We did - Local officers have been conducting speed checks in the relevant areas and any drivers found in contravention of the road traffic act will be prosecuted. We have also been working with partner agencies and parish councils and employing the use of new technology to assist which has achieved positive results.

This issue is still ongoing and we are continuing to take positive action which includes the deployment of speed detection equipment.
