Local Priorities

Status Update

In relation to improving road safety, we will: 1. Run stop sites in hotspot areas targeting vehicles unfit for the road. 2. Carry out regular speed enforcement in identified areas. 3. Work with community speed watch groups to identify concerns. 4. Use engagement and enforcement to change driver behaviour. In relation to reducing youth-related anti-social behaviour, we will: 1. Work closely with schools to deliver education and intervention. 2. Support opportunities for positive out of school activities. 3. Conduct targeted patrols in the Park Farm area, which has suffered a spike in ASB. 4. Work with partners to support families and address underlying causes. In relation to tackling nuisance and off-road motorbikes, we will: 1. Work with partners to explore access measures to green spaces. 2. Conduct initiatives to stop and deal with riders. 3. Use education alongside enforcement to inform riders of the dangers posed to themselves and the public.
