Closure orders are now imposed on problematic premises whilst dispersal notices and Community Protection Notices have been used to disrupt those responsible. 11 properties have been subject to full or partial closure order with homes repossessed by the landlord or housing association. We undertake patrols at all closed properties, and anyone found breaching the order is arrested and charged.

Off-road motorbikes/Surrons are the most prevalent type of ASB for Gateshead East with areas such as Whitehills Nature Reserve suffering a disproportionate amount of reports. Open community meetings with partners have been conducted with days of action to follow.
