Antisocial behaviour.
Issued: 3 Feb 2026
Status Update
Officers regularly patrol Lydd and the surrounding areas, and this visible police presence helps reduce antisocial behaviour.
When young people are identified as being involved in antisocial behaviour, officers carry out home visits and speak with them and their parents or guardians. This approach has been effective in stopping or reducing poor behaviour in the community.
There has been a recent increase in reports of antisocial behaviour in Lydd, and investigations are ongoing. In one recent incident, a young person was identified after throwing stones into a resident’s garden. This behaviour had happened on several occasions, but the individual involved has now been identified and is being dealt with appropriately.
