Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Traffic Offence Reports will be issued to drivers who commit moving traffic offences identified by police, such as driving without insurance or not wearing a seatbelt. A Traffic Offence Report can lead to a fine, penalty points, or court action.

In the coming weeks, targeted operations will take place to tackle traffic and road safety problems in the area. These will focus on issues such as speeding, vehicle seizures, and other driving offences.

Nuisance motorcycles.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Local officers have been dealing with ongoing problems caused by nuisance motorbikes. Officers have been patrolling areas where residents have reported noisy and dangerous riding. One person linked to nuisance riding previously had a Community Protection Warning in place. A Community Protection Warning sets clear rules that must be followed to stop behaviour that affects the local community. The warning has now ended after checks showed the individual followed the conditions, and there has been a clear improvement in their behaviour.

In another case, an illegal Surron‑style motorbike was seized, and the rider was reported for riding without insurance.

Officers have also gathered information to identify where nuisance motorbikes were being ridden for recreation and where they were being stored. This activity has now been disrupted, helping to reduce further problems in the area.
