Status Update
We have patrolled all of these areas over the last month and specifically we have patrolled Mitchells field for youths parking up in an evening, playing loud music and littering, Paper Mill Close, Stadon Road recreational ground for rowdy youths and the Nook car park for youths using gas canisters, although on our patrols these areas have all been peaceful and in order.
We are still seeing people riding e scooters and illegal electric bikes around the village. Please remember that these are illegal and we can remove these from people – They aren’t cheap and you won’t get them back. We are intending on having a pro active day on this in the next month or two. Unfortunately operational demand has prevented this during May, but we will try in June.

We will be looking at Road safety issues in Anstey and villages, including speeding, parking issues (especially around school times), obstructions in Anstey (in particular parking on Cropston Road), vehicles not complying with traffic signals in the Nook, and use of electric scooters in public places.
Issued: 1 Apr 2026
Status Update
We continue to work towards making our streets safer for both road users and pedestrians alike, as well as all of the above and we will remove cars that are illegal from our streets when possible.
We have patrolled school parking when we can. Whilst we appreciate that most schools have some issues with parking, parking on zig zags, double yellow lines, junctions, etc. is never acceptable!
This month we recovered an obviously abandoned vehicle from Hollow Road in Anstey and issued strong words of advice to the owner of another vehicle that shouldn’t have been parked on the road. Please remember that if you park a vehicle on a public highway, it MUST be taxed, have a current MoT certificate and suitable insurance.
Over the last month we have unfortunately been very busy and operational demand has prevented us completing any speed enforcement operations.
We are always monitoring speed complaints at existing and new locations. If you have information or concerns at a location, please let us know.

We are aware of areas where drugs are used, especially in public areas and causing distress for others. We are also aware of certain addresses and areas where drugs are dealt. We will be targeting these areas to try and cut this down. Please make contact with us if you have any information about this!
Issued: 1 Apr 2026
Status Update
We have patrolled these areas over the last month, particularly the areas around Paper Mill Close and Burgin Road and continue to gather intelligence on our patrols from local residents. We will continue to patrol over the coming month and build intelligence to take steps to enforce when and where possible.
We take reports of drug use and drug dealing seriously and will enforce when we can, but this does also rely on us gaining intelligence from our residents – Please always contact us if you have information that we may find useful!
