Status Update

1. Conduct Hi visibility and plain clothes patrols.
We will proactively target those involved in the distribution and supply of drugs in our communities.
We work closely with our Neighbourhood Watch and partners to identify those responsible and take positive action with enforcement.

We will actively develop intelligence to identify those involved in the distribution of drugs and enforce appropriately utilising powers under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Carry out stop searches where there is a legal power to do so.
Encourage and educate the Community on how to report drug dealing, via online Digi desk, 101 or Derbyshire Alert.

2. Regular Traffic Operations with specialist police resources from our Roads Policing Unit to target and educate around road safety.
Through Neighbourhood Watch and Social Media campaigns, we will look to identify volunteers from within our community to support our Community Speed watch.
Attend local meetings, community forums to gather feedback from our communities and share updates on the work taking place.
Utilise section 59 warnings to vehicle owners and Community protections notices to perpetrators and repeat offenders.

Utilise Road Traffic Act powers when opportunities arise around seizure of vehicles for defects, document offences and driving in an anti-social manner.

3. Utilise Road Traffic Act powers section 59 and section 165 powers when opportunities arise around seizure of e-scooters and Nuisance bikes for Road Traffic Offences.

Work closely with our Roads Policing Unit (RPU) to combat this issue, whilst also having a national view on where other forces are succeeding in dealing with e-scooters nuisance bikes.

Utilise civil powers such as Community Protection Warnings and Notices where appropriate.
Promote road safety awareness through school visits youth engagement sessions
