Road safety.

Issued: 3 Feb 2026

Status Update

Community Speedwatch volunteers continue to monitor speeding hotspots across North Downs East, with a particular focus on the Densole area. The Kent and Medway Speedwatch van has also been deployed to support this work.

Information is being gathered on roads where speeding remains a regular concern. This will be shared with partner organisations so they can consider whether 20 miles per hour limits may be suitable in certain locations around Hawkinge. This work is being supported by Hawkinge Town Council.
