Status Update

The local officer, supported by colleagues from the Community Safety Unit, has been carrying out proactive patrols in the Sandgate area. This work has led to one person being arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug, and another person being dealt with for possession of a controlled drug.

The local officer continues to carry out regular foot and vehicle patrols in the area to help deter further offending and provide reassurance to the community.

Nuisance motorcycles and/or e-scooters.

Status Update

There has been one report of an e‑scooter being used in the area. The rider was identified from a description and given clear advice about the law, including where e‑scooters can and cannot be used.

Concerns have also been raised about e‑scooters being used along the seafront. In response, officers have carried out regular foot patrols in these areas to deter issues and provide reassurance.

Reports of nuisance motorbikes have also been received in a nearby wooded area. The local officer has contacted the organisation responsible for the site and is working with them to address the issue and target those involved.
