Status Update

Police Activity Update – High Road N22 / Wood Green Underground Station:

Targeted plain-clothes and high-visibility patrols are currently being conducted along and around the High Road, N22.
In addition, Operation Fineful is being carried out at Wood Green Underground Station. This is a passive drugs dog deployment operation aimed at deterring and detecting drug-related offences.

So far, the operation has resulted in multiple arrests, including those for serious and violent offences. Officers have also conducted a number of stop-and-searches, leading to the recovery of drugs and weapons.

The operation provides additional opportunities for officers and PCSOs to maintain a visible presence not only within the Underground station but also along the High Road and surrounding areas, helping to enhance community safety and reassurance.

Targeted plain-clothes and high-visibility patrols will be conducted throughout Woodside Park, Glendale Avenue, and the area surrounding George Meehan House. Officers will issue Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) warnings, Community Protection Warnings (CPWs), and Community Protection Notices (CPNs) to persistent individuals responsible for ASB.

Engagement will take place with individuals within Woodside Park, with stop and search powers utilised where lawful grounds exist. Additionally, Section 59 warnings will be issued to any individuals using vehicles in a manner that causes anti-social behaviour along Glendale Avenue and in the vicinity of George Meehan House.
