Status Update

We have had reports recently of off roaders driving on private or protected land, at times causing significant damage. You can get all the advice required for off roading by visiting the “Green Lane Association” website (www.glass-uk.org). Actions
· Proactive patrols in the area · Utilising police powers to robustly deal with and deter with off road drivers and anti-social drivers. This remains a persistent concern across all communities and at all times of day. To address this, we will be conducting additional speed checks with the aim of encouraging motorists to reduce.
Actions
· Regular patrols to be carried out of the Goyt Valley · Work with other agencies such as Peak Park Rangers, Landowners and Rural Crime Unit.
We tend to see an increase in thefts in this area due to remote location and would like to protect themselves by taking some steps like leaving a light on, keep side gates locked and secure outbuildings. Please report any suspicious activity at the time it occurs on 999 or 101.
Actions
· Proactive patrols of the area will be carried out. · Security marking event will be held for residents and businesses. Please remember to follow our Facebook page “Hope Valley SNT” which has information on latest crimes in the area and any up-coming events.
