Status Update

We are working to establish a town centre working group to target key issues. A visibility plan is in place around the bus station, a repeat location for antisocial behaviour (ASB) and drug dealing. Officers are revisiting ASB victims in these locations and running a series of pop-up events in the town centre to improve engagement with the public.

A series of joint operations are being conducted in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, Traffic Police and Rossendale Borough Council to target the use of illegal offroad bikes both on moorland and through residential areas.

A series of speeding and red light offending operations are planned each month with neighbourhood officers conducting enforcement in key areas.
