Theft of Motor Vehicle remains a prevalent crime type in the South of the Borough and it has been agreed to remain a priority.

To combat these issues, the team will analyse the data when offences are committed and dedicate our resources to these areas. We will analyse patterns of offending in order to catch and deter offenders. We will act on intelligence provided by our communities and partners. We will utilise our Met Engage contacts to conduct witness appeals post offences being committed and each victim of crime will receive a visit from the team. We will conduct door to door enquiries to look for further evidence of offences and when there are obvious patterns to offences, these areas will receive an enhanced policing presence.

Residential burglary has spiked overtaking Theft of Motor Vehicle in the last quarter. It has been agreed as a new priority.

When the anti-social behaviour relates to vehicles, we will utilise our partners inside The Met to ensure we are supported in tackling these drivers.
